Abstract

First Results of Light Measurement Observations with İST40 Telescope

Year 2023, Volume: 4 Issue: 3 - Special Issue: Proceedings of the 22nd National Astronomy Congress, 435 - 438, 31.12.2023

Abstract

The IST40 telescope was started to be used for educational and research purposes, especially by undergraduate students, whose complementary parts are provided by a Guided Project supported by Istanbul University Scientific Research Projects Unit in 2017. More than 100 nights of observational data have been obtained since November 2017. In these observations, 70 different objects were observed. While 78% of the observed objects are variable stars, exoplanet transits, asteroids and comets, AGN and similar sources have also been observed. In this study, the basic statistics of observations made so far, the first results and the performance of the telescope will be presented along with the light curves.
