Şehirlerde Akıllı Çevre Uygulamaları

Year 2023, Issue: 2 - SMART CITIES, 11 - 16, 19.05.2023

Abstract

Smart Environment Applications in Cities

Year 2023, Issue: 2 - SMART CITIES, 11 - 16, 19.05.2023

Abstract

The concept of smart city can be defined as the integrated management of social, environmental and economic elements of local governments using information technologies. Smart cities, which emerged as a solution to the sustainability problems arising from rapid urbanization, are important tools that enable the efficient use of environmental resources, which are largely a common property. In this study, the importance of geographic information system applications, which provide the spatial analysis functions required for urban design and geographical data about cities, in smart city planning has been examined. Studies show that the efficiency of the services provided by the city administrations, which adopt smart environmental practices, has increased and the quality of life of the city has increased. As a result, it is seen that smart city applications will contribute to the creation of sustainable local government models that have a lower environmental footprint and protect natural resources.
