Adsorption of Gold Ions from Aqueous Solution with Photocrosslinked Molecularly Imprinted Hydrogels

Abstract

In this study, gold (III) ion-imprinted (Au(III)-Imp) and non-imprinted (N-Imp) new hydrogels was prepared for the purpose of adsorption of the aqueous solution of gold (III) ion. The functional groups of hydrogels were investigated by attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy technique (ATR-IR). The surface morphologies of hydrogels were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Au(III) ions adsorptions with Au(III)-Imp and N-Imp hydrogels was investigated and the suitable conditions for maximum adsorption was found as pH:1 and adsorption time: 3 hours. Under this conditions maximum adsorption was determined as 78.4 mg Au(III)/g hydrogel at 500 mg/L.

Moleküler Olarak Baskılanmış Çapraz Bağlanan Hidrojeller ile Sulu Çözetideki Altın İyonlarının Adsorpsiyonu

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sulu çözeltideki altın (III)  iyonu adsorpsiyonu amacıyla altın (III) iyonu baskılanmış (Au(III)-Imp) ve baskılanmamış (N-Imp) yeni hidrojeller hazırlanmıştır. Hidrojellerin fonksiyonel grupları seyreltilmiş toplam reflektans infrared spektroskopi (ATR-IR) ile araştırılmıştır. Hidrojellerin yüzey morfolojileri taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) ile karakterize edilmiştir. Hazırlanan bu iyon baskılı ve baskılanmamış hidrojellerinin  Au(III) iyonlarını adsorpsiyonunu etkileyen parametreler incelenerek maksimum adsorpsiyon için uygun şartlar ortam pH’ı 1, adsorpsiyon süresi 3 saat ve bu şartlar altında maksimum adsorpsiyon 500 mg/L’ de 78,4 mg Au(III)/g hidrojel olarak belirlenmiştir.
