Abstract
Fiyat istikrarının sağlanması merkez bankalarının öncelikli amacı haline
geldikçe, 30 yılı aşkın süredir bir dizi uygulama bu amaca ulaşmak içirt kendini
göstermektedir. Bu uygulamalardan parasal çıpaya ve döviz kuru çıpasma dayalı
istikrar programları geleneksel politikalar olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bununla
birlikle 1990 yılından bu yana yeni bir politika enflasyon hedeflemesi politikasıdır.
Son yıllarda bu politikayı uygulayan gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülke sayısı hızla
artmaktadır. Bu nedenle çalışmamızın amacı enflasyon ile mücadele döneminde,
parasal otoriteleri enflasyon hedeflemesi gibi yeni bir para politikası uygulamasına
yönlendiren gelişmelerin neler olduğunu ortaya koymaktır.
